Speakers’ Bio

In today’s digital landscape, APIs have become the backbone of Internet traffic, accounting for over 80% of it, as reported by Akamai. Their unparalleled ability to connect, integrate, and facilitate collaboration has propelled innovation forward. Nevertheless, this surge in API usage comes with heightened cybersecurity risks that enterprises must address. By prioritizing identity, security, and governance within a zero-trust framework, organizations can mitigate these risks and ensure the trustworthy operation of their APIs.

Dr. Baljeet Malhotra

Dr. Malhotra is an award-winning researcher known for his work in Open Source and API data management. He conceptualized the world’s first “API Composition Analysis” based on source code static analysis. He received a PhD in Computing Science from the University of Alberta. He was awarded NSERC (Canada) scholar in 2005, and Global Young Scientist (Singapore) in 2011. He concurrently holds Adjunct Professor positions at the University of British Columbia, University of Victoria and University of Northern BC.
