Dear Members,
I am delighted to share that our non-profit cybersecurity community is growing, and we are grateful to have you with us as we continue to grow.
We recently launched our new membership management system through JoinIt. This system streamlines the onboarding process and allows us to manage the entire membership lifecycle more effectively. With JoinIt, we can personalize offerings, create and apply discounts, and gather essential information to serve you better. We acknowledge that some members faced challenges during onboarding and had to contact us for assistance. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through these initial hurdles. If you encounter any issues accessing the portal, please let us know so we can resolve them promptly.
Starting in August, the chapter will transition from Slack to Discord. This change aims to create a more engaging platform for our community. Please update your Discord username in your membership portal to facilitate this transition. Our chapter is run entirely by dedicated volunteers, and we sincerely appreciate their efforts and the time they invest. If you want to join us on the Board as the Secretary, please visit our website to complete the application process.
Additionally, we are excited to announce our partnership with the Center for Cyber Safety and Education for the Golf for Cyber event on September 25th, where we will be a sponsor Golf 4 Cyber Safety (golf-4-cyber-safety.com). Please watch your email and portal for more details as the event approaches.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement.
Best regards,
Raphael Adeyemo
President and Chair of the Board of Directors
